"I get a lot of my ideas and
inspiration from the people I observe.
I love the movement and rhythm of
figures. I try to express myself, but
also the individual I'm painting -
trying to capture the essence of
the person, not to make a perfect
image -eliminating, adding lines,
bright colors, brushstrokes - leaving
the lines and shapes sketchy,
painterly. Allowing the viewers
imagination to fill-in, blend and
to participate in the painting."
