About Oaxacan Art...
The artwork originates from the wood carvers of a small town called Oaxaca Mexico. Each figure is carved by hand from their native wood of the copal tree. The figures are then painted in stunning detail with brilliant acrylic colors. This unique talent displays the love that they have for animals and mystical creatures, many believe their figures will bring good luck to who ever owns them. Handmade items naturally vary and size is approximate.
